Donald Trump praised Narendra Modi moments before their first bilateral meeting in over a year. The remarks set a warm tone as the two leaders prepared to begin talks.

Just before sitting down for a bilateral meeting, their first in over a year, US President Donald Trump showered praise on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, described him as "calm", "cool" and a "total killer". This is, however, not the first time that Trump has called PM Modi a "total killer". He has previously used it to indicate PM Modi's tough negotiating ability.
