Trump called the Democrats "radical left scum" who wanted to destroy the country, while claiming that his administration has generated trillions of dollars in growth.

US President Donald Trump attacked the Democrats on Wednesday in his Christmas Eve greetings, calling them “radical left scum" during his vacation at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
The 79-year-old Republican president spent the day before Christmas spreading some yuletide cheer. He participated in NORAD Santa tracker calls and sent Christmas greetings to American troops worldwide.
However, he did not share the same bonhomie with Democrats. “Merry Christmas to all, including the Radical Left Scum that is doing everything possible to destroy our Country, but are failing badly. We no longer have Open Borders, Men in Women’s Sports, Transgender for Everyone, or Weak Law Enforcement," he said on his Truth Social platform.
Trump once again touted the accomplishments of his presidency. “What we do have is a Record Stock Market and 401K’s, Lowest Crime numbers in decades, No Inflation, and yesterday, a 4.3 GDP, two points better than expected. Tariffs have given us Trillions of Dollars in Growth and Prosperity, and the strongest Security we have ever had. We are respected again, perhaps like never before," he added.

Trump lashed out at the opposition, which has criticised his administration over its handling of the cost of living, a day after Commerce Department data showed the economy had grown by 4.3% in the third quarter — the highest GDP in two years.
However, the report also showed the price index for domestic purchases rose 3.4% – a much higher inflation reading compared with 2.0% in the second quarter.
Trump has often marked Christmases past with criticisms of his political enemies, including in 2024, when he posted, “Merry Christmas to the Radical Left Lunatics." During his first term, Trump wrote online early on Dec. 24, 2017, targeting a top FBI official he believed was biased against him, as well as the news media.
