Donald Trump announced that his Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer and has decided to begin treatment immediately.

In a statement on his social media platform, Truth Social, he said Wiles had chosen to confront the illness without delay.

“She has been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer, and has decided to take on this challenge, IMMEDIATELY, as opposed to waiting," Trump said.

The US president expressed confidence in her determination as she begins treatment and praised her resilience during what he described as a difficult moment.

Wiles, a veteran political strategist and one of Trump’s closest advisers, has played a central role in the administration and previously managed key campaign operations. She became White House Chief of Staff after Trump returned to office and is widely seen as one of the most influential figures in his inner circle.

The announcement has prompted an outpouring of support from political allies and colleagues wishing her a swift recovery as she begins treatment.
