In a video that surfaced on X, Field Marshall Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, claimed that he invoked divine intervention while referring to tensions with India earlier in May.

Speaking in Urdu during a public address, Munir cited a Quranic verse — “If Allah helps you, none can overcome you" — and suggested that Pakistan had experienced Allah’s support in its confrontation with India. Using metaphorical and religious imagery, he said divine help was “felt" and implied that angels were prepared to descend in support, framing this as evidence of faith and righteousness.

Munir’s remarks also stressed internal moral reform, calling for adherence to religious principles and spiritual discipline as a source of strength. He suggested that correcting one’s conduct and faith leads to divine assistance, linking spiritual conviction with national resolve.
