Israel continues to launch airstrikes on Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah-linked facilities, leaving thousands homeless and creating a massive displacement crisis. India Today travelled through the deserted streets of South Beirut, reporting on the ground situation as the country battles the humanitarian emergency. More than 900 people have been killed in the ongoing war, with over 2,000 injured. The Lebanese government faces a major challenge as 10 lakh people out of the country's 60 lakh population have been displaced. In southern Lebanon, a Christian village, Magdosha, has opened its school buildings to shelter 200 displaced families, accommodating nearly 1,000 members. Israeli forces shared videos of bombardment operations while issuing evacuation warnings to Lebanese civilians. Meanwhile, 400 kilometres away in Israel's Jal Julia, a similar fear prevails as Indians living in Israel have been shifted to bomb shelters amid the escalating conflict.
