A man in Ghana, who calls himself a prophet, has once again made headlines after changing his warning about the end of the world. Ebo Enoch had earlier claimed that a huge flood will destroy everything on December 25. Many people believed him and rushed to see the large wooden arks he was building for safety. When nothing happened on Christmas Day, Enoch said the disaster had not been cancelled but only delayed. He explained that God has given him extra time to finish his work and spread his message.
Enoch has built around 10 arks and believes his prayers have been answered. The story has drawn even more attention after reports said he bought a luxury Mercedes using money given by followers for the ark project. Thousands of people had even arrived near the site, hoping to be saved from the flood. Among them was a man from Liberia who is now stuck in Elmina, unsure of what will happen next.
What Was Ebo Enoch’s Prophecy And How It Went Wrong
In a YouTube video titled, What Will Happen and How It Will Happen, shared in August, Ebo Enoch said he had received a message from God. He claimed he was shown a vision in which nonstop rain will begin on December 25 and will continue for three years. According to him, God asked him to build arks to save people who wanted protection. In several of his videos, Ebo can be seen making boats. He repeatedly claimed that he had already made 10 arks for this purpose.
Many followers believed him and took his warning seriously, but his prediction did not come true. In his newest video, Ebo Noah said the disaster he had spoken about has been delayed. He claimed that God has allowed more time before anything happens. He also said he has now been told to make the ark project bigger so that more people who want to be saved can be included.
He said, “I’ve prayed, I’ve fasted, I’ve donated and I’ve built and through my prayers, I had another vision and in that vision. So I shared my vision with some great men of god. So, God has given us some time to build more arks, in addition to the 10, to contain all of us. I’m not selling tickets, I’m not taking money from anyone, so please stay home, enjoy yourself, have fun."
The Aftermath
After Ebo Enoch announced that the floods had been delayed, a video has been circulating of a man from Liberia who travelled to Ghana hoping to board the ark. Now, he’s in Elmina, where he has been left stranded and upset.
In another incident, a man’s wife and family had moved near the ark. When the apocalypse was postponed, the man became angry and felt cheated. In frustration, he allegedly set fire to the structure, only to later find out that the ark did not belong to Ebo Noah. After realising his mistake, he felt regret.
Prophet Uses Followers’ Money For Lavish Lifestyle
Even though Ebo Enoch said he never sold tickets or asked people for money, recent reports suggest a different story. It is being said that he used donations to buy a Mercedes car worth $89,000 (approximately Rs 79 lakh) and photos of it have been circulating online. Many were stunned to see how so many followers trusted him and gave away their money. Enoch also shared videos of himself checking the ships and walking around the site, which made his claims look real and helped strengthen the faith of those who believed him.

How It All Began
Many people took Ebo Enoch’s words seriously because of the heavy rains across several parts of Ghana. The bad weather added to their fear and made his warning look real. As a result, in panic, many started believing that the floods he spoke about were actually coming.
